Joan Marie’s journey in the UAE began outside healthcare. She worked as a hotel receptionist in Dubai, welcoming guests from different cultures and learning the patience, professionalism and composure required in a service role. بدأت رحلة جوان ماري في الإمارات بعيداً عن قطاع الرعاية الصحية. عملت موظفة استقبال في أحد فنادق دبي، واستقبلت ضيوفاً من ثقافات متعددة، وتعلمت الصبر والاحتراف والهدوء الذي تتطلبه مهنة الخدمة.

Behind the daily routine was a dream she had not abandoned: nursing. She continued studying while managing the demands of work and life abroad. Joan Marie eventually entered one of the most difficult chapters of her life: a cancer diagnosis and an intensive treatment journey.
