ABU DHABI, 2 October 2026 — European private-markets asset manager Eurazeo has opened its first Middle East office in Abu Dhabi Global Market, expanding the presence of international investment firms in the UAE capital’s financial centre.

Eurazeo, which is listed on Euronext Paris and reports €40 billion in assets under management, said the new office represents the next stage of its international development and will strengthen its engagement with investors across the Gulf.

The company has developed relationships with sovereign institutions, family offices and institutional investors in the region over the past decade. From Abu Dhabi, it plans to deepen those relationships while supporting portfolio companies seeking expansion opportunities in Gulf and other regional markets.

The move also reflects two-way investment flows. Eurazeo said Gulf investors are seeking greater portfolio diversification and exposure to European opportunities, including the continent’s mid-market companies. The manager intends to use its European private-markets platform to connect regional capital with those opportunities and pursue strategic partnerships.

Christophe Bavière and William Kadouch-Chassaing, Eurazeo’s Co-CEOs, said the opening reflects the growing importance of the Gulf to the firm and its confidence in the region’s long-term trajectory. They identified Abu Dhabi as a location from which Eurazeo can engage investors while helping portfolio companies establish a stronger presence on the ground.

Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, said Eurazeo’s establishment in the jurisdiction adds to Abu Dhabi’s community of global asset managers and can deepen investment links between the Gulf and Europe.

The opening is part of a broader expansion of international asset-management and private-capital firms in Abu Dhabi. ADGM reported in September that assets under management in its jurisdiction grew 54% year on year in the first half of 2026, while the number of active licences approached 14,000.

Abu Dhabi’s concentration of sovereign and institutional capital is a major factor in the financial centre’s appeal to international managers. Establishing local operations can allow firms to maintain closer relationships with allocators, respond to regional investment priorities and support portfolio businesses seeking entry into Middle Eastern markets.

For the UAE, the continued arrival of private-markets managers can broaden the financial-services ecosystem beyond traditional banking and public markets. Asset managers bring investment professionals, fund structures, advisory activity and cross-border capital relationships that can reinforce the emirate’s role as a regional financial centre.

Eurazeo’s Abu Dhabi office therefore represents more than a geographic expansion for one European manager. It is another data point in the continuing movement of international private capital firms toward permanent operating bases in the UAE.

Why It Matters

The opening adds another major international private-markets manager to ADGM and strengthens the capital and investment-management links developing between Abu Dhabi, Gulf investors and European markets.
